SUBSTANCE: according to the method and device implementing this method, each vessel is illuminated by a light source with a change in the intensity of light in accordance with a periodic pattern with a period of T1in, at least, the first direction of the change, N images of the vessel moving in front of the light source and occupying N different positions along the path of motion are taken for each vessel. Between each image shooting, a relative displacement between the container and the periodic pattern is made in the direction of the change in the periodic pattern, a geometric transformation is determined and applied in, at least, N-1 images of one vessel for, at least, one set of points belonging to the vessel to align the pixels belonging to the vessel, in N consecutive images of this vessel, a phase image is formed for each vessel based on N corrected vessel images. Next, the phase image is analyzed to determine on its basis, at least, the presence of a refractive defect or the distribution quality of the vessel material.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy, when detecting refractive defects.
