FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: non-contact excitation of the ultrasonic wave in the object is effected by a powerful nanosecond volumetric electric discharge with a given front and duration and synchronously it is recorded before and after the object passes through the optical device, the signal from which is transmitted to a photodetector connected to a digital oscilloscope. The effective non-contact excitation of the ultrasonic wave in the object is achieved by a powerful nanosecond volumetric electric discharge in the gas flow of hydrogen or helium, which also fills the gas gap between the volumetric electric discharge generator and the object.
EFFECT: providing the possibility of creating a non-contact method of ultrasonic diagnostics, increasing the depth of control.
