The effective non-contact excitation of the ultrasonic wave in the object is achieved by a powerful nanosecond volumetric electric discharge in the gas flow of hydrogen or helium, which also fills the gas gap between the volumetric electric discharge generator and the object.

EFFECT: providing the possibility of creating a non-contact method of ultrasonic diagnostics, increasing the depth of control.
