FIELD: measurement technique.

SUBSTANCE: using: for ultrasonic nondestructive control of objects. Noncontact exitation of ultrasonic wave is performed in object by powerful volumetric pulse electric discharge and this wave is recorded by synchronised by time in reflection or light-passing mode pulsed source of object ultrasonic waves recording system; herewith to initiate ultrasonic wave in object powerful volumetric pulse electric discharge is used in which ultrasonic pulse front corresponds to frequency with wave length less than flaw size and duration of ultrasonic pulse corresponds to frequency of ultrasonic wave penetrating through all depth of object.

EFFECT: increase in flaw control depth during noncontact ultrasonic diagnosis of objects.
