FIELD: production of blanks; production of products by extrusion.

SUBSTANCE: inventions relate to the production of blanks and products by extrusion using a screw press. By rotating screw 2, the material enclosed between the surfaces of press housing 1 and screw 2 is moved through the deforming areas. At each section on the surface of screw 2 there are protrusions 5 in one row around the circumference. On the surface of housing 1 on both sides of protrusions 5 of auger 2 there are protrusions 4 in two rows around the circumference. At each section, the masses of material enclosed between the surfaces of housing 1 and screw 2, fixed by the working surfaces of protrusions 5 relative to screw 2, are subjected, when the screw rotates, to rotation relative to the masses of material fixed by the working surfaces of protrusions 4 relative to housing 1. The material is subjected to shear deformation in two zones 3, enclosed between annular surfaces, the axis of which coincides with the axis of rotation of screw 2. In the indicated zones, 3 rectilinear generatrices or tangents at each point of the curved generatrices of the ring surfaces are located at angles of inclination from 30° up to 60° or from 120° up to 150° to the generatrix of the surface of screw 2, located after projections 5 of the screw in the direction of movement of the material.

EFFECT: increase in the degree of deformation of the processed material and an increase in processing productivity.
