SUBSTANCE: method comprises the step of obtaining a separation flag of the conversion unit from the bit stream indicating, whether the conversion unit is included in the coding unit. Further, according to the method, the size of the conversion unit is determined based on the said separation flag of the conversion unit, and also the context model is determined based on the conversion unit size and the colour component of the image including the said conversion unit. The conversion coefficient flag is obtained indicating, whether, at least, one non-zero coefficient is included in the block of the said conversion unit by entropic decoding of the bit stream based on the said context model.
EFFECT: increasing the efficiency of video decoding.
