FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: immobilized biocatalyst is proposed for the preparation of bacterial cellulose. The biocatalyst is made as immobilized bacterial cells in the cryogel of polyvinyl alcohol. And the cells inclusion into the cryogel is carried out in the process of its formation with the content of bacterial biomass (dry weight) - 0,5÷3,0 wt %, polyvinyl alcohol - 8÷18 wt % and an aqueous phase of up to 100 wt %.

EFFECT: expansion of the list of substrates used to produce bacterial cellulose, increasing its productivity per unit time, total productivity and time of effective functioning.
