FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: masses, geometric dimensions and roughness of the surface of reference samples and the material under investigation are measured, and they are placed on the container bottom. An abrasive powder (for example, chalk powder) is filled in the container. The model medium is poured into the container and an ultrasonic radiator is installed and used to produce high-frequency oscillations of the model medium with oscillation frequency of 20-40 kilohertz, and the abrasive powder is mixed in the model medium. The test for wear resistance is carried out in the model medium with abrasive powder at high frequency oscillations, and at the end of the test, samples masses, geometric dimensions and surface roughness are measured. The wear of a sample made of the material being tested is compared to the wear of a reference sample, and the wear resistance of the proposed material is estimated based on the wear difference.
