FIELD: construction.

SUBSTANCE: method is implemented by means of cutting connection nodes of the cells of a glass-fiber-reinforced honeycomb block, including marking and cutting cell walls using a cylindrical mandrel. The mandrel is made with an external radius of 0.75-0.95 of the cell facet length, a through axial opening with a radius of 0.2-0.4 of the cell facet length, a bead, and through axial slits located on the side opposite to it at an angle of 120° to each other, having a width of at least the double thickness of the cell wall and the length not less than half the height of the glass-fiber-reinforced honeycomb block. The cylindrical mandrel is based by means of said axial slits on the cell walls, and the cell walls are cut at a depth of not less than half the height of the glass-fiber-reinforced honeycomb block, by a cylindrical endmill fixed in a drill, introduced into the through axial opening of the cylindrical mandrel. The glass-fiber-reinforced honeycomb block is turned by 180° and the cell walls are cut from its opposite side. Wherein the removable part of the cell face is 0.25-0.35 of its length. The glass-fiber-reinforced honeycomb block is cut into glass-fiber-reinforced honeycomb panels.

EFFECT: increasing the flexibility of the glass-fiber-reinforced honeycomb panels cut from the glass-fiber-reinforced honeycomb block, while preserving a sufficient strength.
