FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of three-layered structures of complex curvature and can be used for cutting nodal joints of glass-fiber-reinforced honeycomb panel cells in rocket, aircraft and ship building, construction, furniture and packing industry. Method involves fixing the panel along the perimeter and cutting cells walls. For this purpose, cylindrical mandrel is used, said mandrel is made with an external radius equal to 0.75-0.95 of edge cells length, through axial hole with radius equal to 0.2-0.4 of edge cells length, collar and through axial slots located on the opposite side at an angle of 120° to each other, said slots have width of not less than double thickness of the cell wall and length which is not less than glass-fiber-reinforced honeycomb panel height. Cylindrical mandrel is located by said axial slots on cells walls and cells walls are cut by means of a cylindrical end mill, which is fixed in drill and introduced into the through axial hole of the cylindrical mandrel.

EFFECT: cutting nodal cells along the panel height is provided with preservation of its flexibility and strength.
