FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: control system for removing exhaust gas is intended for internal combustion engine (1) equipped with a control device for removing exhaust gas. The control device for removing exhaust gas includes an addition mechanism (200) and a catalyst (41). The addition mechanism (200) is designed for adding an aqueous urea solution to exhaust gases. The catalyst (41) is arranged for adsorbing ammonia obtained from urea aqueous solution and removing NOx with the use of adsorbed ammonia. The control system for removing exhaust gas comprises an electronic control unit (80). The electronic control unit (80) sets the target amount for adsorbed ammonia that is adsorbed by the catalyst (41). The electronic control unit (80) controls the added amount of urea aqueous solution based on the target amount of adsorbed ammonia. The electronic control unit (80) receives catalyst temperature value. The electronic control unit (80) performs the integration process to obtain the catalyst temperature value in the present cycle and for integration of catalyst temperature, when it is equal to or higher than the threshold value determined in advance. The electronic control unit (80) performs the initialisation process for reducing the amount of ammonia adsorbed by the catalyst provided by that the integrated value of catalyst temperature calculated in the integration process is equal to or higher than the present value. The method to control the exhaust gas discharge of the internal combustion engine is disclosed.
EFFECT: suppression of difference increases between the target amount of adsorbed ammonia and the actual amount of adsorbed.
