COMPOSITION WITH HALIDE PRECURSORS OF AMINO ACID / ZINC TRIMETHYLGLYCINE Russian patent published in 2017 - IPC A61K8/20 A61K8/27 A61K8/44 A61Q5/02 A61Q15/00 A61Q19/10

Abstract RU 2638791 C2

FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: proposed anhydrous composition for personal hygiene for applying to the skin or hair contains cosmetically acceptable anhydrous medium and the precursors of the halide-X-zinc complex, where the precursors are a zinc ion source selected from, at least, one of zinc oxide and four-basic zinc chloride, the source of X and the source of halide, which is chloride, where the halide source can be a part of the source of zinc ions, a source of X or hydrochloric acid, where the precursors can be a part of the halide-X-zinc complex when applying the composition to the skin or hair, where X is amino acid selected from lysine and lysine hydrochloride, where the halide-X-zinc complex formed from the precursors has the formula [Zn(Lysine)2Cl+]Cl-2H2O, and where the precursors are present in such quantity that when combined into the halide-X-zinc complex, the halide-X-zinc complex would be present in an amount of 0.05 to 10% of the composition weight. A method for reducing the amount of perspiration and/or sweat odour and a method for destroying the sweat-causing bacteria using the above composition are also provided. In addition, a method of forming a halide-X-zinc complex is proposed, that comprises applying the above composition to the skin or hair, as well as using the zinc precursors for the formation of the halide-X-zinc complex with the aim of destroying the sweat-causing bacteria, reducing perspiration and/or reducing the sweat smell, where the precursors are a zinc ion source selected from, at least, one of zinc oxide and four-basic zinc chloride, the source of X and the source of halide, which is chloride, where the halide source can be a part of the zinc ion source, the source of X or hydrochloric acid, where X is amino acid selected from lysine and lysine hydrochloride, where the halide-X-zinc complex formed from the precursors has the formula [Zn(Lysine)2Cl+]Cl-2H2O, and where the precursors are presented in the anhydrous composition.

EFFECT: effective antibacterial action, reducing the number of sweat-causing bacteria on the skin, and physical blockage of ducts of the sweat gland.
