FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: shell-and-tube catalytic reactor for conducting exothermic processes comprises a body with an upper and lower bases in the form of tube grids with coaxial through channels made in them, branch pipes installed vertically in the channels, reaction tubes filled with the catalyst, which can interact with its outer side surface with the inner side surface of the branch pipes, raw and product collectors made in the form of distributing combs, hydraulically connected with upper and lower ends of reaction tubes, respectively, a steam drum located above the upper base with a bottom and a cover, an internal cavity of which is hydraulically connected to the internal cavity of the body by means of a discharge and supply pipelines, a piston blower made in form of a hydraulic cylinder internal cavity of which is hydraulically connected to the cavity of the body, with installed piston and a pressure rod, which have the possibility of axial reciprocating motion, and a pumping line with a shut-off element connected to the cover of the steam drum. At that, a circular projection which outer diameter is greater than inner diameter of branch pipe is made in upper part of each reaction tube, and the outer diameter of detachable connections installed on lower ends of tubes is less than outer diameter of the tube.
EFFECT: simplified and more rapid performance of operations associated with the catalyst operation.
