FIELD: pharmacology.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions is a mouthwash, comprising a bleaching agent in an amount effective to whiten teeth, wherein the bleaching agent is hydrogen peroxide present in an amount of 0.01-5 wt %, and a combination of the first acid and the second acid where the first acid is citric acid present in an amount of 0.01-0.5 wt %, and the second acid is phosphoric acid present in an amount of 0.01-1.5 wt %, and wherein citric acid and phosphoric acid are present in a mass ration of 1:1 to 1:10, and wherein the mouthwash contains water in an amount of 60 wt % to 80 wt %. The mouthwash contains a polymer selected from polycarboxylate polymers and polyvinyl methyl ether/maleic anhydride copolymers (PVME/MA) and has a pH of 3-6. In addition, a method for teeth whitening using the described mouthwash is disclosed.
EFFECT: improved taste of mouthwash compositions in combination with their good whitening effect.
