FIELD: automotive engineering.
SUBSTANCE: pneumatic tire (1) comprises a plurality of small blocks (20) which are defined and formed by a plurality of rectilinear longitudinal narrow grooves (16) and a plurality of transverse narrow grooves (18) which are in communication with the longitudinal narrow grooves, and the rows (22) of small blocks with small blocks aligned along the longitudinal direction of the tire and formed between the adjacent longitudinal narrow grooves. Each of the small blocks has a surface area which is different from the surface area of at least one small block relating to the adjacent row of small blocks on at least one side with respect to the lateral direction of the tire and having an overlap area in the tire transverse direction (CA). Small blocks have a surface area of at least 20 mm2 and no more than 400 mm2. The tire also comprises one longitudinal main groove which is wider than longitudinal narrow grooves, and a plurality of lug grooves which are wider than the transverse narrow grooves.
EFFECT: improvement of tire braking performance on ice, improvement of steering stability on snow.
