FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: method of determining the rupture place on an overhead power transmission line by arrays of instantaneous currents and voltage values is that the arrays of instantaneous voltage and current signals of the three phases at the beginning and at the end of the line are measured for the same instants of time tj=t1,t2,…, tN, transmit signals from the end of the line to its beginning along the communication channel, keep the pairs of digital readout as instant, shift the signals of the phase B by an angle 120° and phase C by an angle 240°, the instantaneous voltage and current values are filtered using the discrete Fourier transformation and obtaining complex components of voltage and current phases fixed at the beginning and end of the line, and calculation of distance to the rupture place I1 is realised according to formula of
where i - imaginary unit; γ0=α0+iβ0 - coefficient of distribution of an electromagnetic wave; α0 - coefficient of attenuation of an electromagnetic wave; β0 - phase-change coefficient of an electromagnetic wave; ZB - the wave resistance of the line; L - line length.
EFFECT: increasing the accuracy of the rupture place determination on the power transmission line in the presence of instantaneous currents and voltages values of high-frequency components.
