FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: apparatus comprises a branch pipe housing (1) with the branch pipe outlet (12) for discharging a glazed confectionery product in the form of a stream. The glazed confectionery product stream is a frozen confectionery product, at least partially coated with a glazing agent. The branch pipe housing (1) comprises a channel (11) for the frozen confectionery product, communicated with at least one port (2) for introducing the frozen confectionery mass and leading to a branch pipe outlet (12), at least one glaze feeding channel (5) communicating with at least one glaze introducing port (3) and leading to at least one glaze application chamber (6) opening into the channel (11) of the frozen confectionery product in a position above the branch pipe outlet (12); and a distributing projection (7) located below at least one glaze application chamber (6) and above the branch pipe outlet (12) or forming part of it. Said distributing projection (7) is adapted to distribute the glazing agent over the surface of the frozen confectionery mass and determines the cross-section shape of the glazed confectionery product stream. Wherein the distribution projection (7) has a star-shaped cross-section with a concave section along the perimeter between the star ends. A method for manufacturing a glazed frozen confectionery product by means of co-extrusion is also provided.

EFFECT: invention allows to provide a new method of applying coating strips to the ice cream surface with a uniform and controlled distribution of the coating material on the product and along the product.
