FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to polymerisation of olefin monomers. Described is a method which includes circulation of a suspension containing an olefin monomer selected from C2-C12 olefin monomers, a liquid diluent selected from C3-C7 alkanes, a catalyst and polyolefin particles in polymerisation conditions in a loop reactor. Polymerisation conditions include a polymerisation temperature of 38–121 °C and a polymerisation pressure of 27–50 bar. In one embodiment, during circulation, the cavitation number is 6–60. In another embodiment, Euler number (Eu) is at least 5.
EFFECT: technical result is improved mode for polymerisation processes at lower cavitation numbers without significant increase in pressure in the reactor, which enables to minimize the increase in costs.
