SUBSTANCE: DNA is extracted from the patient's blood, mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) is genotyped, the degree of mtDNA heteroplasmia is determined by the m.652delG mutation. With a value above 22.5%, high genetic risk is judged.
EFFECT: increased effectiveness and accuracy of determination of predisposition to atherosclerosis, coronary artery disease and myocardial infarction.
