SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, particularly to cardiology, to radiation diagnostics, and can be used for prediction of risk of atherosclerotic vascular changes. Intreleukin-6 blood serum level is determined, and if observing a set of features: waist circumference 106 cm and more and interleukin-6 concentration in blood serum 28 pg/ml and higher, high risk of multifocal atherosclerotic involvement is diagnosed.

EFFECT: method provides higher effectiveness of early detection of atherosclerotic vascular changes by evaluating complex of most significant indicators.
