METHOD FOR LIABILITY TO DEVELOPMENT OF ATHEROSCLEROSIS IN MIDDLE-AGED MEN Russian patent published in 2020 - IPC C12Q1/68 G01N33/50

Abstract RU 2738975 C1

FIELD: biotechnology.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to biotechnology, namely to early diagnostics of atherosclerosis. Buccal epithelial sample is taken from the patient and deoxyribonucleic acid DNA is extracted from said sample. On a detecting amplifier using polymerase chain reaction carried out a genotyping of polymorphism of FAS and MMP9 genes using a DNA segment as a primer by examining the genotypes of the FAS gene (Rs1159120) and the MMP9 gene (rs17576). Content of triglycerides is determined in a blood sample. And with simultaneous meeting the following conditions: presence of a combination of a gene of FAS gene (rs1159120) CC genotype, as well as genotype AA of gene MMP9 (rs17576), with simultaneous excess triglycerides in blood above upper limit of physiological norm in 1.15–2.15 times, risk of developing atherosclerosis in middle-aged men is considered to be high.

EFFECT: invention provides reliable diagnosis of prediction of the risk of developing atherosclerosis in middle-aged men (36–45 years).
