FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: human body-screening system for security purposes includes: a source of X-rays configured to supply X-ray radiation to scan the body subject to human screening; a detector configured to receive X-ray radiation passed through the body to be screened and to generate a transmission signal; a sensor configured to obtain a body weight subject to human screening; a carrier device configured to carry and move the body subject to human screening in a certain direction, so that the human body is scanned; and a controller configured to receive signals from the sensor, determining the body weight subject to human screening based on the signal from the sensor and determining and controlling voltage or current applied to the X-ray source, and the speed of the carrying device movement in accordance with the weight.
EFFECT: ensuring the possibility of improving the quality of the image and reducing the radiation dose received by the person being screened.
