CASTING CUP ASSEMBLY FOR OPHTHALMIC DEVICE FORMATION Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC G02C7/04 B29D11/00

Abstract RU 2642880 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: claimed casting cup assembly for ophthalmic device formation contains a mould for casting the front curved surface, consisting of a concave surface on the top side of the casting mould for the front curved surface, the first continuous ring delineating the casting mould concave surface and extending from the flat top surface plot over the perimeter of the concave surface of the casting mould, a base curved surface casting mould, consisting of a convex surface on the underside of the casting mould for the base curved surface, the second continuous ring delineating the casting mould convex surface and extending from the flat bottom surface plot past the perimeter of the convex surface of the casting mould. The concave surface of the casting mould has a perimeter surrounded by a flat plot of the top surface and is located adjacent thereto, and the curved surface of the casting mould has a perimeter surrounded by a flat plot of the bottom surface and is located adjacent thereto. The flat plot of the top surface is within the first continuous ring, and at least a portion of the flat plot of the bottom surface is within the second continuous ring. The first continuous ring has the first radius, and the second continuous ring has the second radius. The first and the second radii are different and performed with a possibility of pairing so that the first edge of the first continuous ring contacts the second edge of the second continuous ring, when the mould for base curved surface casting is placed on the mould for front curved surface casting.

EFFECT: reduced number of edge defects by minimizing the displacement of centres and inclination of the concave and convex surfaces of the mould for casting of the casting cup assembly.
