FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to modification of silicon contact lens by laser ablation and to modified lens thus made. Proposed method comprises loading initial digitised data into ablation control device. Said control device computes laser control circuit proceeding from data related to said modification. Laser device control sequence is computed. Ophthalmologic lens is located for laser radiation power to be fed thereto. Ophthalmologic lens is subjected to laser radiation power in compliance with SET control sequence. It is also subjected to hydration in salt solution prior to and during action of laser radiation power. Note here that lens is kept in medium with lower content of oxygen during ablation. Process wastes are removed of lens surface.
EFFECT: lens of preset parameters, simplified contact lens separation into water solution.
