SUBSTANCE: invention relates to garden equipment control systems. Garden equipment control system includes sensor equipment, task performance equipment, and a yard maintenance manager. Section is divided into a plurality of zones, each zone associated with at least one sensor and with at least one device of the task performance equipment. Control device includes processing circuits which store map data describing a section, each of the zones being defined by a corresponding geographic description. Control device can be synchronised with an external device. Operator identifies plants associated with each zone, or growing conditions required for each zone, using an application. Control device controls operation of equipment from a resource list or provides commands or suggestions for the operator regarding equipment that can be used, based on the growing conditions of the plants in a given zone.

EFFECT: high efficiency of grounds maintenance.
