FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: method of parameter vector coding in audio coding system is presented. Each parameter corresponds to an aperiodic value, the vector has the first element and at least one second element. Represent each parameter in the vector by means of an index value that can take N values. Associate each of the one second element with a symbol. The symbol is calculated by the following steps, in which: the difference between the index value of the second element and the index value of its previous element in the vector is calculated; apply the modulo operation N to the difference; code each of at least one second element by entropy coding of a symbol associated with at least one second element based on a table of probabilities containing the probabilities of the symbols.
EFFECT: increasing the audio data coding efficiency.
