FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the block foam glass production. Foam glass production method includes dispersing the glass waste, mixing them with a foaming mixture, granulation of the initial charge to particle sizes of 0.5–5.0 mm. Then, the granular charge is fed into the feeder of the plasma reactor, the foaming of the pellets in the plasma flare, spraying conglomerates of foamed glass by the flow of a plasma-forming gas, transportation of foamed conglomerates by a waste plasma-forming gas stream into a metal mold. Afterwards, granular charge is fed into the plasma torch parallel to the axis of the plasma torch by the flow of plasma-forming gases, and spraying in the metal forms of foam glass conglomerates is carried out at a power output of 12 kW plasmatron.
EFFECT: improving the uniformity of the charge granules distribution in the finished product, reducing the thermal conductivity, increasing the compressive strength.
