FIELD: glass; technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a process for the production of silicate glass. Method includes dosing, averaging and blending the charge components, granulation of the charge, feeding the granular charge to the feeder of the plasma reactor and melting the charge in the plasma reactor with the effluent of the plasma generator for 1 hour. Melt is produced continuously. Transportation of the dispersed melt is carried out by the effluent stream of the plasma-forming gas of the plasma jet at a working power of the plasma torch of 14–16 kW and the flow of the plasma-forming gas is 2.0–2.2 m3/h in the bath of the glass melting furnace. Drainage of the glass mass is carried out through the working channel of the bath of a laboratory glass melting furnace.
EFFECT: method for the production of silicate glass is proposed.
