FIELD: block foam glass production.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of block foam glass and can be used in the building materials industry. The method for producing block foam glass includes dispersing glass waste, mixing it with a foaming mixture, granulating the initial charge, supplying the granulated charge to the feeder of the plasma reactor, foaming the granules in a plasma torch, accumulating foam glass conglomerates with a plasma-forming gas flow, spraying the foamed conglomerates with the outgoing plasma-forming gas flow into a metal mold. Granulation of the mixture is carried out up to a size of 6-8 mm. The granular charge is fed into the plasma torch simultaneously perpendicular and parallel to the axis of the plasma torch by the plasma-forming gas flow, and the deposition of foam glass conglomerates into metal forms is carried out at a plasma torch power of 9 kW.
EFFECT: reducing the energy intensity of the process and increasing the strength of products.
