FIELD: technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: vacuum-plasma deposition of wear-resistant coating made of titanium nitride, niobium, aluminium, silicon and chromium are carried out at their ratio, wt %: titanium 35.4, niobium 18.2, aluminium 11.8, silicon 1.5, chromium 33.1. Deposition of coating is carried of located horizontally in the same plane with three cathodes, the first of them is produced compound of niobium and aluminium and silicon alloy, the second of chrome, and is placed the opposite of the first, and the third made of titanium and is placed between them.
EFFECT: increased cutting tool serviceability.
