SUBSTANCE: device for grading items transported by a conveyor line, includes an area of the conveyor line (2), on which the items (3) are graded, gripping (4) means, designed to grip items (3) and operate in the specified area of the conveyor line. The gripping means (4) provide a selection of items located on the area of the conveyor line (2), and their transfer to the racks (5) in the pre-selected temporary storage areas to form stacks of said homogeneous items (3). Lifting and transfer devices (6) are designed for lifting individual items (3) on a command or stacks of the items lying on the racks (5) in the pre-selected temporary storage areas and transfer of the items to the discharging line (7).
