SUBSTANCE: packaging element (301) for hygiene products that is formed of a sheet of material having an inner surface (302), has an edge region (304) comprising an inner edge portion (305, 308) and an outer edge portion (306, 307). At least one of the outer and inner edge portions comprises at least one region having a reusable adhesive (12). The sheet has at least one folding axis (309, 309) dividing the said sheet to the first and the second region. The sheet is folded along the said at least one folding axis into a configuration with overlaying of the said first and second regions, thereby obtaining a packaging element. The overlapping outer edge portions of the layers from the sheet are at least partially free of the adhesive and at least partially connected to each other by mechanical interaction providing a bond strength of 0.2 to 1.5 N. A method for packaging element formation is proposed.
