SUBSTANCE: invention relates to measurement equipment. Method for determining the variance of the measurement error of two-dimensional wave spectrum by an inertial measuring module of a waverider buoy, lies in the fact that the error is determined by comparing the characteristics specified by the stand with the characteristics reproduced by the inertial module. At the same time, both the vertical and angular oscillations in two orthogonal planes are reproduced in the same frequency spectrum, which is closest to the real operating conditions, with further data processing from the stand and the investigated inertial module for the input (according to the data from the stand) SBX(ω, α) and output (according to data from the inertial module) SBOL(ω, α) of two-dimensional spectra, the difference between which will determine the two-dimensional spectrum of measurement error SPOD(ω, α) = SEXIT(ω, α) -SBX(ω, α) and the variance of the measurement error as the area under the graph of the calculated spectrum .
EFFECT: technical effect: the determination of the measurement error dispersion, possibility of calibrating the buoys, and increase in the measurements reliability.
