FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to the field of measurement equipment and can be used to determine the magnetic compass (MC) dynamic error value. Method for determining dynamic error of magnetic compass caused by rolling consists in that rolling is reproduced in a given frequency spectrum, wherein compass pot is additionally exposed to magnetic field with given vector and intensity, most approximate to operating conditions, to determine dynamic error, uniaxial rolling of cardan suspension with magnetic compass bowl is set, and value of dynamic error is determined by calculation of root-mean-square deviation of variable component of magnetic course deviations from initially specified position.

EFFECT: determination of the root-mean-square deviation (MSD) value of the dynamic error of the magnetic course measurement by means of the MC operating under conditions of uniaxial rolling under action of a magnetic field with given parameters.
