SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method and an apparatus for treating wastewater. Method includes the stages of supplying wastewater to a processor, performing a wastewater treating process in the processor to obtain a mixed solution, releasing a mixed solution from the processor into a gravitational selector, separating the particles in a mixed solution with a gravity selector to separate solids with excellent settling parameters, releasing the separated solids from the gravitational selector as a return flow to the processor and discharging the remainder of the mixed solution from the gravitational selector in the form of a sewage stream. Device comprises a processor, which contains the inlet and outlet and which receives the waste water through its inlet and performs a process of wastewater treatment to form a mixed solution, and a gravitational selector, which contains the inlet, the outlet of the wastewater flow and the outlet of the return flow and which takes the mixed solution through its inlet and separates the particles in the mixed solution, separating the particles having excellent settling parameters, from the mixed solution where the outlet of the return flow of the gravitational selector is connected to the input of the processor for feeding the separated solids to the processor.

EFFECT: invention provides separation and isolation of solids with excellent sedimentation parameters and effective sewage treatment with sludge.
