FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to laboratory diagnostics in oncology, and can be used to evaluate the therapeutic effect of photodynamic therapy (PDT) in glandular cancers of the gastrointestinal tract. Before PDT, one metastatic lymphnode of the abdominal lymphnode dissection is divided in half and one half is removed. Second half of the lymphnode is exposed to radiation, after which the irradiated half is also removed. Then, the percentage of "bare cores" of atypical cells in the irradiated and unirradiated lymphnodes is compared. When the percentage of "bare cores" in the irradiated half of the lymph node is exceeded, compared with the unirradiated, the PDT effect is estimated to be positive, at least twice.
EFFECT: method makes it possible to evaluate the effects of the PDT session quickly, simply and conveniently by comparing the percentage of "bare cores" of atypical cells in the irradiated and nonirradiated lymphnodes.
