FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: method involves intravenously introducing photosensitizer and treating tumor with laser radiation having wavelength belonging to photosensitizer absorption peak zone. Prosthesis coated with plastic is set in advance into hollow organ constriction zone at least for 1-2 weeks before applying photodynamic therapy. Next, cylindrical diffuser is introduced into prosthesis center and total laser irradiation is applied to zone injured with tumor through prosthesis walls by moving the diffuser from distal to proximal prosthesis edge. The treatment course is repeated, when needed, 2-3 months later.
EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; high accuracy in calculating radiation dose.
