FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the processing of organic polymer waste in motor fuels and chemical raw materials, which can be used in organic and petrochemical synthesis. Method of thermal cracking of organic polymeric waste includes the thermal liquefaction of polymer waste, their heating and supply to the reaction zone of the reactor below the upper liquid level, passing the heated activating nonoxidizing gas through the volume of the liquid polymeric feedstock to produce lighter hydrocarbon fractions at the upper outlet of the reactor and heavier hydrocarbon residues at the lower outlet of the reactor. In this case, the heating of the activating gas is carried out to a temperature of 320–350 °C, thermal cracking is carried out at a temperature in the reaction zone of the reactor 320–405 °C and at atmospheric pressure, and heavy hydrocarbon residues from the lower reactor outlet are recycled to the polymer waste thermalizer.
EFFECT: process according to the invention makes it possible to increase the yield of valuable liquid fractions and to reduce the yield of gaseous hydrocarbons, and also to stabilize the cracking of polymer residues.
