FIELD: instrument engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention describes an upgraded fiber-film contactor/separator in which an accelerated coalescence zone is provided by a separation device, connected to a protective casing which contains a bundle of vertically suspended fibers with a large area surface. In the accelerated coalescence zone, a part of the mixture of immiscible liquids in the radial direction is deflected, which is not parallel to the vertical axis of the suspended fibers, and the deflected portion of the liquids is contacted with the coalescing layer to ensure that at least one liquid is coalesced into small droplets.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to deposit immiscible liquids into separate phase layers; separate first and second outlets are used to separate the liquid having a higher density and the liquid having a lower density.
