FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: axially-symmetrical microfocus X-ray source comprises a cathodic-modulated node, a focusing electrode and anode, ensuring emission of hollow electron stream from the cathode, acceleration of the stream and its focusing on the anode. A funnel-shaped channel is made in the anode, along the symmetry axis of the system, the channel consists of a conical socket and a cylindrical channel, whose conical socket, facing the cathode, reflects the accelerated electrons moving parallel to the axis and directs them to the entrance of the cylindrical channel, as a result of interaction with its wall the electrons subject to multiple elastic reflection move to the cylindrical channel opposite to the conical socket and are absorbed by the channel wall with a probability specific for concrete anode material in each act of interaction, emitting X-ray quanta.
EFFECT: increased power of X-ray radiation.
