FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to magnetic non-destructive testing means for detecting defects in extended ferromagnetic articles with a constant and complex cross-section. Measuring device of a magnetic defector of expanded articles of complex shape comprises a magnetization unit, made in the form of two spaced solenoids covering the article, and a magnetosensitive sensor located between the solenoids, and also comprises a plurality of magnetically sensitive sensors, located along the perimeter of the cross-section of the article with required resolution, installed in the transverse gripper of the article in suspensions, providing a minimum gap between sensors and the article surface when moving the article through the solenoid and gripper, and the solenoids are formed around the article contour.
EFFECT: increased accuracy of magnetic non-destructive testing of extended articles of complex shape.
