FIELD: measuring equipment.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a measuring equipment and can be used for the non-contact determination of the motor shaft position. Absolute optical one-turn angular encoder contains n optocouples, where n is the encoder bit depth, a raster disc with one encoding track consisting of consecutively arranged transparent and opaque sectors, wherein the optocouplers are arranged with the same pitch a, where a, equal to 360/2n is the resolution of the encoder, and the coding track is formed in accordance with a binary sequence of length m = 2n, wherein each digit of the sequence is corresponding to the angular dimension a, zero is put in accordance to the opaque sector, one is to the transparent sector, or vice versa.
EFFECT: maximum resolution for bit length n of the encoder.
