SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to otorhinolaryngology, and concerns the diagnosis of pathological conditions of the epithelium of the upper respiratory tract. For this purpose, a general examination and targeted visualization of the sites to be examined are carried out, including using endoscopic instruments. Visual assessment is carried out after treatment of the test field with a solution of 1.5–3 % acetic acid in a volume of 1 ml, with removal of surface mucus and detection of changes in the epithelium 1–2 minutes after treatment. Visualization of the investigated field is carried out sequentially in different spectral ranges of light at wavelengths of 380–780 nm. In this case, the microcirculatory parameters are evaluated using a capillaroscope. Inspection of the revealed changes of the epithelium is carried out in different light ranges: in the form of uneven staining – in all ranges; Acetobelic epithelium – in white light and green light 500–560 nm; sites with ischemia – in green light 500–560 nm; neovascularization – in green 500–560 nm and red light 700–780 nm; marginal pronounced inflammation – in yellow-green light 550–575 nm and perivascular puffiness in violet light 380–450 nm.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to simplify the diagnosis of pathological conditions of the epithelium of the upper respiratory tract with simultaneous increase in the accuracy of the diagnosed diagnosis.
