SUBSTANCE: invention relates to gear pumps or motors. Gear wheel for gear pumps or motors comprises asymmetric teeth (14), each of which has a convex-shaped driving face configured to interface with a corresponding convex side of the wheel meshed with said wheel, and outlet side formed over most of its length in the form of a recess of said convex profile. Discharge side is designed so that radius passing through tip of teeth (14) is tangent to outlet side or intersects it.

EFFECT: increase of number of gear teeth to ensure smooth and silent operation.
