FIELD: measuring equipment.

SUBSTANCE: method for determining frequency of gas composition analysis of arterial blood (ABG) comprises the following stages: receiving the previous results of the ABG analysis; the initial time for the next ABG analysis is determined based on the previous results of the ABG analysis and the rule from the set of rules; monitoring data is received; the clarified time for the next ABG analysis is determined based on the initial time for the next ABG analysis and the monitoring data; and parameters of blood saturation with oxygen are extracted on the basis of the monitoring data. The clarified time is determined on the basis of the initial time and parameters of blood saturation degree with oxygen. The stage for determining the clarified time comprises delaying the next ABG analysis if the monitoring data indicates that the patient's condition is not impaired, and accelerating the following ABG analysis if the monitoring data indicates that the patient 's condition is impaired. A system for determining the frequency for conducting analysis of the gas composition of arterial blood is also disclosed.
