FIELD: manufacturing technology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of cable trays and ladders for supporting electric cables and wires. Hybrid cable tray and a method of manufacturing thereof are proposed. Tray comprises first portion (13) which forms one piece having a uniform thickness. First part (13) forms at least first supporting surface (52) of the first place (53) for accommodating a plurality of cables (54). First part (13) has a plurality of first through holes (18) formed by the first plurality of edges (20) in the first part (13). Cable tray (10) has two parallel sidewalls (11, 12) connected to each other by said first part (13). Said sidewalls comprise an inner side (111, 121) connected to said first part (13), and are provided with at least one closed upper side (113, 123) and one outer side (112, 122), where the inner side and the outer side have approximately the same width (W). Sidewalls have open bottom side (55, 56).
EFFECT: invention extends the application of trays.
