FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to medicine, namely to oncology and molecular biology, and can be used for the differential diagnosis of prostate cancer (PCa) and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). Method comprises: obtaining a sample of the patient's peripheral blood; the release of plasma from the sample; isolation of RNA from blood plasma; measurement of the level of microRNA expression hsa-miR-155-5p, hsa-miR-619-5p, hsa-miR-6777-5p with subsequent determination of the probability value (F) characterizing the risk of PCa, according to the following formula: F = 0.931 × (L1 – 2.878) / 2.064 + 0.960 × (L2 – 3.059) / 2.160 + 0.587 × (L3 – 2.523) / 0.689 – 0.515, where L1, L2 and L3 – levels of microRNA expression hsa-miR-155-5p, hsa-miR-619-5p, hsa-miR-6777-5p respectively. When the value F > 0 is obtained, the PC is diagnosed, upon receipt of F ≤ 0 – BPH.
EFFECT: invention allows to effectively diagnose prostate cancer and differential diagnosis of prostate cancer and benign prostatic hyperplasia, that allows to start timely and adequate therapy.
