METHOD OF TENSION-FREE HERNIOPLASTY OF POSTOPERATIVE VENTRAL HERNIAS Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61B17/00

Abstract RU 2647148 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to surgery of postoperative ventral hernias. Hernial sac is isolated, two opposite flaps ace cut out of the hernial sac with dimensions sufficient to cover the hernial gates. Lower flap is detached from the edge of the hernial gates, separating the medial margin of the posterior leaf of the vagina of the rectus abdominis muscles. Lower flap, with the mesh endoprosthesis put on it, is fixed along the entire perimeter of the hernial gates, with the medial edges of the back sheets of the vagina of the rectus abdominal muscles grasping the continuous suturing seam in such a way that the edge of the mesh endoprosthesis and flap get into the seam and the flap overlap the edge of the mesh endoprosthesis. Continuous suture seam is performed by sequentially sewing the edge of the mesh endoprosthesis and the underlying hernial sac flap in the direction of the abdominal cavity, the edges of the hernial sac flap in the opposite direction from the abdominal cavity to the outside, away from the edge of the reticular endoprosthesis, the medial edge of the back leaf of the vagina of the rectus abdominis and the edge of the hernial gates in the medial direction.

EFFECT: method increases the contact area of the mesh endoprosthesis with the aponeurotic tissue and increases the strength of the endoprosthesis fixation line.
