ART-THERAPY METHOD OF MARZIPAN MOLDING (MARZIPANOTHERAPY) Russian patent published in 2018 - IPC A61M21/00 

FIELD: psychophysiology.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, and namely to psychotherapy and to correctional psychology for the treatment and rehabilitation of persons with emotional disorders or damage to the nervous system. Art therapy is carried out, including creative manual molding by a patient of a graphic product from a thick plastic dough-like mass of marzipan containing a mixture of crushed almonds and sugar. Procedure of modeling includes consecutive stages: first the patient acquaints himself with the properties of marzipan through his own sense of smell, touch and taste, then the patient kneads the marzipan mass to a homogeneous and plastic state. Then patient divides the marzipan mass into parts for the manufacture of the elements of the visual product, after which the flat parts of the material and arrays of convex form are made from the obtained parts. Then patient makes workpieces of the elements of the visual product, and then assembles the elements of the visual product to make the composition in the form of a high relief, and the background elements in the form of a bas-relief on a flat substrate of rounded form with the use of various techniques for handling the paste-like mass and the possibility of using hand tools.

EFFECT: method allows to expand the ways of the therapeutic effect of art-therapy modeling on patients, increase the motivation to engage in this therapy, allows to increase the ability to social adaptation and stimulation of the neuropsychological development of children, and also for the improvement of the elderly by using creative hand-molding marzipan.
