FIELD: acoustics.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to acoustics, in particular to sound masking systems. System contains microphones, a spectrum analyzer for determining of the sound power characteristics and a spatial analyzer for determining of the received sound directional characteristics representing the direction of the fall on a person, generator for masking sound generation under combined control of power characteristics and spatial characteristics for sound masking. System is configured to mask the sound emitted in the direction of the person, in which the signal processing subsystem contains a spatial analyzer for determining the directional characteristics, wherein the spatial analyzer is adapted to determine the directional characteristics based on determining the quantitative representation of at least one of the inter-aural temporal difference and the inter-aural level difference.

EFFECT: increase in the sound masking efficiency.
