FIELD: microbiology.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of microbiology, namely to methods of coloring and differentiation of microorganisms. Method of coloring and differentiation of microorganisms is proposed, in which a 4-day tincture of black chokeberry fruit is used as the main dye on 90 % ethyl alcohol with addition of 2–2.5 g of copper sulfate per 40 ml of solution, for staining, 1 % eosin solution is used, while bacteriological smears fixed above the flame of the alcohol lamp, stained with a new dye based on the extract of fruits of the black chokeberry for 4.5–5 minutes, washed 2 times with 96 % alcohol, 96 % alcohol is applied for 20 seconds, washed with water and stained with 1 % eosin for 1 minute, then washed with water and dried with filter paper.
EFFECT: invention provides an increase in diagnostic value and a reduction in the cost of bacterioscopic examination of smears with Gram-positive and Gram-negative microorganisms.
